Geek VS Geek 2!

Yes folks, the hilarious and ever-popular movie by Filmworkshops.net is getting a sequel. Most workshop movies don't get sequels, and even when they do, they rarely live up to expectations (example: the Kill Mario sequel currently in production). But with a new premise and an all new cast, GVG2: Geek Wars (working title) will be quite an exiting movie! Here is both a teaser poster and a sneak peak at the first draft of the script.

 First, the script:

WORLD OF WARCRAFT GEEK

You see? I'm a class 52 mage, with a shadow knight and an orc as my lutenent! And you see, I can equip magical talismans to help me fight, and I can fight zomibies, and build armies, and slay dragons...

COMIC BOOK GEEK

Yawn. Is there anything fun to do?

WORLD OF WARCRAFT GEEK

THIS IS FUN!

COMIC BOOK GEEK

It is not.

WORLD OF WARCRAFT GEEK

Prepare to die!

COMIC BOOK GEEK

It is you who will die!

WORLD OF WARCRAFT GEEK

I summon back my staff, to traansform me to my full mage power!

Exiting. And here's the poster:

Catwoman!

Brendon Connelly from the site Bleeding Cool recently got to ask cinematographer Wally Pfister some questions, and he dropped some interesting news about The Dark Knight Rises.
Talking of the screentests, Kevin asked:

So, Wally you shot Anne’s screen test for Catwoman?

To which he replied in the affirmative. That’s a yes to Kevin saying "Catwoman", not "Selina Kyle". Hmmm.

Pfister added, a little later:

"She looks phenomenal in the wardrobe."

I couldn’t let that lie. Later, I came back to it and asked if this meant what it seems to mean:

"Brendon, I’d get fired and I wouldn’t even get to shoot the picture...I can’t really say, but I definitely want to be around next year..."

When asked about the rumors of Robin Williams playing Hugo Strange, Pfister had this to say:
"They could turn around and surprise me too. It’s happened before. When I turned around and saw that list of girls that we were going to be screen testing before they cast Anne… I didn’t know myself who was real and who wasn’t until about two days before the tests when Emma told me."
Hmm... Looks like we may indeed be getting Catwoman in this movie. Interesting...

Henry Cavill is Superman!

In a press release today, Warner Brothers confirmed that Henry Cavill will play Clark Kent/ Superman.
Here it is:

HENRY CAVILL WILL TAKE ON THE DUAL ROLE OF CLARK KENT / SUPERMAN IN THE NEW FILM FROM

WARNER BROS. PICTURES AND LEGENDARY PICTURES

BURBANK, CA, January 30, 2011 – Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures announced today that Henry Cavill has won the coveted role of Superman, the iconic superhero.

The film will be directed by Zack Snyder, who stated, “In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time, and I am honored to be a part of his return to the big screen. I also join Warner Bros., Legendary and the producers in saying how excited we are about the casting of Henry. He is the perfect choice to don the cape and S shield.”

Charles Roven, Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Deborah Snyder are the producers of the film. The screenplay is being written by David S. Goyer based on a story by Goyer and Nolan. Thomas Tull and Lloyd Phillips are serving as executive producers.

Cavill recently wrapped production on “The Cold Light of Day” and stars in the upcoming “Immortals,” opening this fall.

Targeted for release in December 2012, the new Superman movie will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.
Interesting. I think Cavill could make a plausible Man of Steel, but I'll have to wait and see.

Vengangce!

A new set report video hit net, it talks about the upcoming movie Gohst Rider: Spirit of Vengance. I can't post it here, because it's copyrighted, and I can't tell you what it says, because I think it's in Romanian. Anyway, here are some photos from the set.

Another Friendly Neighborhood Set Video!

Here is another set video from the currently untitled Spider-Man Reboot, due out 2012. This was taken with an Andriod phone, so the quality is pretty bad. It's interesting, however.

Deathly Hallows Part 2 New Picture

Here's a new picture from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, showing Harry Ron and Hermione.
 Cool.

Again, it took a while to find a site who hadn't had the picture pulled down by WB.

Mortis Trilogy!

Last night, I watched the first episode of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars Mortis Trilogy, Orverlords. I had to write a post about it, because it is the best episode in clone wars history ever! This one is even better than Rookies!

The mystic undertone, the visions, the music, the acting, they were all perfect. And the episode really became awesome when Anakin easily defeated two of the most powerful beings in the universe. Plus, the foreshadowing of Darth Vader was awesome, espicially playing the Imperial March at the end. So, you should watch this episode. WATCH IT! NOW!

X-Men First Class Set Photos

Here are 2 new set photos from X-Men First Class. The first depicts a car smashed by a boulder of some sort, while the seconed shows Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, James McAvoy as Professor X, Oliver Platt as The Man In Black, and Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert.

Here's Venom!

In a recent interview with Comic Book Resources, Amazing Spider-Man editor Stephen Wacker revealed something very interesting: the identity of the new Venom. The symbiotic suit from outer space has long been a thorn in Spidey's side. First bonding with the web-slinger himself, then with both Eddie Brock and Mac Gargan. It is also the "father" of the Carnage symbiote. Now, the next host will be... Flash Thompson! The jock has always been both a friend and a foil to Peter Parker, bullying him in high school, and befriending him in college. Flah later joined the U.S. army and lost both his legs in service. Now he can walk again, if only for a brief time. Flash cannot use the suit more than twenty times, or it will bond with his psyche. Wacker also mentioned that Flash will have a large armament "beyond those giant teeth". Pretty cool.

Peter Parker brings in more Set Photos

Here are some new set photos from the unnamed Spider-Man movie, due out 2012.

Mortis Trilogy Clip

4-1 = 3

Yesterday, the comic world was shocked as the Fantastic Four, the comic that essentially started the "Marvel Age", lost one of it's members. When we last left our heroes, Invisible Woman was fighting Atlanteans with Namor, the Sub-Mariner, Mr. Fantastic was attempting to stop Galactus from eating Earth, and the Thing and the Human Torch were attempting to stop the Annihilation Wave, a swarm of bug-like creatures, from invading the planet, a fact made more complicated by the fact that Thing had temporarily become human again.
I'm saying this now: SPOILER ALERT!

However, it is the Human Torch who sacrifices himself to save the universe.
